The Brief
This project’s goal is to create a vector drawing that focuses on a mythical creature of our choice using Adobe Illustrator. The main focus is to experiment with different styles to create a cohesive piece that tells a story.
Sketch + Colour Palette
After deciding on my animal, I began to work on my progress by scanning the sketch. For the overall colour scheme, I experimented with a few colour palettes in the beginning and finally settled on one set - mint green, magenta and punch pink. Next, I played around with the colours on Photoshop just to see which colours will

Work in Progress
Once the colour palette for the background and dragon was locked down, I started executing the background
first and then slowly worked my way through the dragon’s scales. Once a few scales were done, I duplicated
and rearranged it in a manner that fits the flow of the dragon’s body.
